has over 25 years experience in all stages of information technology including systems analysis, applications design, software development, and developing training programs. This experience has covered a wide range of industries including financial institutions, engineering, education, libraries, the communications industry, and pharmaceuticals. Since the mid-1980’s most of Mr. Roth’s work has been in the area of marketing and decision support; systems that require incorporating data from many sources. Incorporating data from many sources entails incorporating their mistakes as well, and Mr. Roth’s pursuit of methods to find data errors goes back to this time. As a consultant, he has continued to have hands-on involvement with all types of software and hardware environments.
Alan Weick has over 25 years experience in information technology. For the last ten years, Mr. Weick has exclusively concentrated on the building of decision support systems for a wide range of industries; including Wall Street brokerages and trading houses, insurance companies, banks, advertising, human capital, and internet companies. His roles have run the gamut from Data Base administrator, data architect, application architect, data modeler, and project management. In 1998, Mr. Weick was a founder of Virtual Computer Solutions, an information technology consulting firm.
Mr. Roth and Mr. Weick have worked together on various projects where many of the ideas associated with data quality solutions have arisen.
